While looking out for an animal’s physical needs is paramount, West Valley Pet Lodge understands there’s more to caring for pets than putting a roof over their heads.
For the staff at West Valley Pet Lodge’s facility near San Jose, pet sitting is indeed a passion. Animals are not just sheltered from the elements and properly fed; they’re also given a level of interaction and affection that they are not likely to get in any other dog kennel San Jose has to offer.
Having said that, we should address how we believe this care is best administered. Over the years, we at West Valley have seen many trends come and go in the boarding industry, many of them unnecessary, wasteful and even bizarre:
Television and Internet Access
Opulent Bedding and Sofas
You won’t find fads such as these, often at additional cost, at West Valley – for good reason!
While pampering and “spoiling” pets may make the owner feel good about leaving a pet at a dog kennel, San Jose residents may find many of these expensive extras just aren’t necessary.
Massages and swimming may sound like fun to you, but if left in the hands of an untrained staff member, these activities can be risky.
If wacky gimmicks aren’t your style and you seek more traditional San Jose pet sitting Silicon Valley’s West Valley Pet Lodge is probably a good bet for you. We provide your pet with affordable essentials, without the fluff you don’t need. Our treats are healthful, not wasteful, and the enclosures and bedding are always clean and comfortable.
Since dogs and cats aren’t generally known for their tastes in entertainment and décor, we’ve skipped the TV and fancy wallpaper in favor of good old-fashioned exercise. Our individualized and sizable kennel runs range from 45 to over 200 square feet, providing abundant, secure room to romp and play. Our guests can range from small Chihuahuas to 175 lb. Irish Wolfhounds. For those guests that wish to keep in shape, our playtime area – a double fenced area replete with balls, toys and a wading pool – offers additional space for exercise and fun with our kennel personnel. We know our guests much prefer this to TV, wallpaper, and other human oriented frills!
